Tell-All
Dr. Oren Tepper talks facelifts in the 40s, celebrity transparency, trademarked techniques, and the one step to never skip when shopping for a surgeon.
In the age of the super-specialist, Dr. Oren Tepper shines as the plastic surgeon who does it all. As his peers have increasingly narrowed their scope of expertise — to just noses, primarily facelifts, body sculpting only — Dr. Tepper embraces “the full breadth of procedures,” deftly balancing cosmetic cases with reconstructive, facial plastics with body work. His Instagram grid is a testament to his versatility, juxtaposing the predictable (lifts and augs) with the unexpected (rescuing dog-bitten faces), the futuristic (3D-printed noses), even the heroic (separating conjoined twins).
Board-certified in plastic surgery, Dr. Tepper is the co-founder of Greenwich Street Aesthetics in NYC, the director of aesthetic surgery & craniofacial surgery at Montefiore Medical Center, and an associate professor of plastic surgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
He’s also a dad — a dad who recently served as camp doctor at his son’s sleepaway camp, where they lost power for two days, forcing Dr. Tepper to bandage, stitch, and salve (or so I imagine) by lantern light. Which seems a far greater feat than any of his aforementioned endeavors. Except for maybe the conjoined-twins thing, lol.
Dr. Tepper carved out an hour for me, one sticky July afternoon, graciously allowing me to grill him on a miscellany of trending topics. I hope you all enjoy hearing from him as much as I did.
