Is there a case to be made for the six-figure facelift — or do plastic surgeons need to “dial it back"?

I suppose it started with The New York Times, in 2022, when they stunned with the headline: And Now, the $200,000 Facelift. Prices were climbing before then, clearly, but this article thrust the six-figure facelift into our collective consciousness.

A year later, I profiled one of the facial plastic surgeons from the NYT story about his controversial costs. At the time, his signature extended deep plane face and neck lift started at $250,000. This fee, I’ve been told, emboldened other facelift surgeons to increase their rates accordingly.
